When this route is the right one

You hold USDT in a TRON wallet and it has to end up on BNB Smart Chain — to use an app there, to fund an account that accepts BEP-20 deposits, or to pay someone whose wallet shows an address starting with 0x.

A plain transfer cannot do that. A TRON transaction can only land on a TRON address (T…), and a BNB Smart Chain address (0x…) cannot receive it. The token has to leave one network and be paid out on the other. That is what this page does, in one step from your side.

USDT on BNB Smart Chain is a pegged token. Binance issues it and holds USDT against it one to one. Wallets and exchanges list it simply as USDT (BEP-20), and it trades at the same price, but it is not issued by Tether itself.

What happens, in order

  1. Enter the amount and the address

Give the 0x… address that should receive the USDT. The estimate updates as you type.

  2. Send the deposit on TRON

You get a one-time TRON deposit address. Send your USDT to it from any wallet.

  3. TRON confirms

We wait for 1 confirmation — usually well under a minute.

  4. USDT is paid out on BNB Smart Chain

The status page shows both transaction hashes: yours on Tronscan, the payout on BscScan.

Before you send — checklist

  • The receiving wallet shows a BNB Smart Chain (BEP-20) address starting with 0x.
  • If that address belongs to an exchange, the deposit page there says BEP-20 or BNB Smart Chain — not ERC-20.
  • You have a little TRX (or energy) in the TRON wallet: sending USDT out of it costs a TRON fee.
  • There is, or will be, a little BNB on the receiving side — without it the USDT cannot be moved again.
  • You saved the status link. It is the only place the swap is tracked.

The two mistakes that cost money on this route

An exchange address for the wrong network

Ethereum and BNB Smart Chain use the same address format. If an exchange gave you a deposit address for USDT on Ethereum (ERC-20) and you send BEP-20 to it, the deposit may not be credited, and getting it back depends on that exchange. Read the network name on the deposit page, not just the address.

Arriving with no BNB

The USDT will be in the wallet, visible and yours — and stuck until the wallet holds some BNB to pay for the next transaction. Top up BNB first if you plan to move the USDT on.

Other ways to make the same move

WayWhat you needWhere it is slower or dearer
An exchange accountAn account there; deposit on TRON, withdraw on BNB Smart ChainSign-up, deposit confirmation on their side, a fixed withdrawal fee
A cross-chain bridgeA wallet connected to the bridge, gas on TRON and BNB for claimingTwo or three signatures; you manage both networks yourself
This swapTwo addressesYou accept a floating rate: the final amount is set when the deposit confirms

What is visible on-chain

Both transactions are public, each on its own network. Tronscan shows your wallet paying a deposit address. BscScan shows a payout address paying the 0x… address you gave. Your TRON wallet never sends to the BNB Smart Chain address directly. Amounts and times are public on both sides.

FAQ

Is USDT TRC-20 the same coin as USDT BEP-20?

They carry the same name and price. On TRON the token is issued by Tether. On BNB Smart Chain it is Binance-Peg USDT, issued by Binance and backed one to one. The address format and the fee token differ.

How long does it take?

About 2–5 minutes. TRON needs 1 confirmation before the swap starts; the payout on BNB Smart Chain follows.

What is the minimum?

The form shows the current minimum for this route under the amount field. It moves with network fees.

Do I need TRX?

Yes, in the wallet you send from. Every TRC-20 transfer pays a TRON fee in TRX or energy. That is your wallet's cost and is separate from the swap.

Can I send the deposit from an exchange?

Yes. Withdraw to the deposit address on the TRON network. Exchanges usually take their withdrawal fee out of the amount, so set the withdrawal so that the amount shown on this page is what arrives.

What if the swap cannot be completed?

Write to support with the swap ID from the status page. The form has no refund address: a swap that cannot be completed is handled by hand, and a return to the address you sent from is arranged under the partner's rules, less the network fee.
