No account. You send from your own wallet.

When this route is the right one

You hold SOL and the dollars are needed on BNB Smart Chain — an app that runs there, a deposit page that says BEP-20, a friend whose wallet is set to BNB Smart Chain. Solana and BNB Smart Chain are both fast, so this is one of the quicker routes on the site.

A Solana wallet can only send to a Solana address, and BNB Smart Chain reads nothing from Solana. The SOL is received here and confirmed on Solana — about 2–5 minutes including processing — then USDT is transferred on BNB Smart Chain to the 0x… address you gave.

What happens, in order

  1. Enter the SOL amount and your BNB Smart Chain address

Paste the 0x… address that should receive USDT. The estimate is in USDT.

  2. Send SOL to the deposit address

You get a one-time Solana address (base58). Send SOL itself from any Solana wallet — not an SPL token.

  3. Solana confirms

1 confirmation; Solana finalises in seconds, and the swap starts right after. The USDT amount is fixed then.

  4. USDT is paid out on BNB Smart Chain

The status page links the BscScan transaction that transfers USDT to your address.

Before you send — checklist

  • The receiving address is a 0x… address that you will open on BNB Smart Chain. The same address on Ethereum does not show this payout.
  • If the address is from an exchange, its USDT deposit page says BEP-20 / BNB Smart Chain.
  • The receiving wallet has, or will have, a little BNB. USDT on BNB Smart Chain needs BNB to move on.
  • You send SOL, the native coin, from a Solana wallet — not USDC or another SPL token, and not SOL on an exchange's internal ledger that withdraws on another network.
  • You saved the status link.

The two mistakes that cost money on this route

An ERC-20 deposit address given as BEP-20

The two networks share the 0x… format, and an exchange's USDT deposit page shows the same address for both; only the network selected on that page decides what gets credited. If the page was opened for Ethereum, a BEP-20 payout may not be credited at all.

Sending an SPL token to the SOL deposit address

A Solana wallet lists SOL and tokens side by side. The deposit address expects SOL. USDC or any other token sent there does not start the swap, and you will need to contact support with the hash.

Other ways to make the same move

WayWhat you needWhere it is slower or dearer
An exchange accountAn account, a SOL deposit, a sale, a BEP-20 withdrawalTwo waits and a withdrawal fee; the right network must be chosen on the way out
A bridge plus a DEXA wallet on both chains, SOL for Solana fees, BNB for the swap on arrivalA wrapped asset in between and at least three signatures

What is visible on-chain

Solscan shows your wallet transferring SOL to the deposit address with the amount and the slot. BscScan shows a USDT transfer from a payout address to your 0x… address. Both are permanent, both are public, and both are tied to the addresses you used; the only thing that joins them is the status link.

FAQ

How long does it take?

About 2–5 minutes. Solana confirms the deposit in seconds; most of the time is processing and the BNB Smart Chain payout.

Is USDT on BNB Smart Chain issued by Tether?

No. It is Binance-Peg USDT, issued by Binance and backed one to one with USDT. Wallets list it as USDT (BEP-20) and it trades at the same price.

Do I need BNB to receive?

Not to receive. The first transfer out of the wallet needs BNB for gas, so top up a small amount before you plan to move the USDT.

Can I send SOL from an exchange?

Yes, withdrawing on the Solana network. Exchanges deduct their withdrawal fee from the amount, so withdraw slightly more than the figure on this page.

What is the minimum?

The form shows it under the amount field. It moves with the BNB Smart Chain fee and the SOL price.

What if the swap cannot be completed?

Write to support with the swap ID from the status page. The form has no refund address: a swap that cannot be completed is handled by hand, and a return to the address you sent from is arranged under the partner's rules, less the network fee.
