When this route is the right one

You hold SUI and want SOL — to use an application on Solana, to pay someone who gives you a Solana address, or to move a position from one fast chain to another without opening an account anywhere.

Sui and Solana are unrelated networks with different address formats and different fee models. The SUI goes to a one-time Sui address and is counted after 10 confirmations — a few seconds of chain time, so plan for 2–5 minutes in all — and SOL is sent to the address you gave.

What happens, in order

  1. Enter the SUI amount and your Solana address

Paste a Solana wallet address: base58, 32–44 characters. Use the wallet's main address, not the address of a token account inside it.

  2. Send SUI to the deposit address

You get a one-time Sui address — 0x followed by 64 hexadecimal characters, 66 in total. Send the exact amount from any Sui wallet in one transaction.

  3. Sui confirms

We wait for 10 confirmations, a matter of seconds. The SOL amount is fixed then.

  4. SOL is paid out

The status page links your deposit on Suiscan and the payout on Solscan; your Solana wallet shows the balance at once.

Before you send — checklist

  • The receiving address is your Solana wallet address, not an associated token account and not an exchange's address for a different coin.
  • The Sui deposit address you paste into your wallet is 66 characters long. A wallet that drops leading zeros on input shows the same address padded on output; compare the ending, not only the start.
  • If the Solana address has never held SOL, the payout has to be above Solana's small minimum balance for an account to exist — do not aim at the very bottom of the amount range.
  • You send one Sui transaction for the full amount.
  • You saved the status link.

The two mistakes that cost money on this route

Pasting a token-account address instead of the wallet address

On Solana every token you hold lives in its own account with its own address, and explorers show those addresses next to the wallet. A SOL payout has to go to the wallet address — the one your wallet app shows as yours. SOL sent to a token-account address is not credited as your wallet balance and is hard to recover.

Sending a Sui token instead of SUI

Sui wallets list the native coin next to other coins on the chain. This route takes SUI, the coin that pays gas. A different coin sent to the deposit address is a different object on the chain, is not counted, and needs support and the digest to sort out.

What is visible on-chain

Suiscan shows your transaction by its digest: the sender, the deposit address, the SUI amount, the gas paid in SUI and the checkpoint. Solscan shows a system transfer from a payout address to your Solana address with the amount in SOL and the slot. If your address did not exist before, the transfer is what creates it. Both records are public; neither chain stores a link to the other.

FAQ

How long does it take?

About 2–5 minutes. Sui confirms the deposit in seconds and Solana confirms the payout in seconds; most of the time is processing.

What does a Sui address look like?

A 32-byte identifier written in hexadecimal with a 0x prefix — 66 characters in full (docs.sui.io, checked on 12 October 2026). Wallets may accept a shorter form with leading zeros dropped, but the deposit address shown here is the full form.

Why does a new Solana address need a minimum balance?

Solana's docs state that every account must hold a refundable minimum balance proportional to its data size to remain on chain (solana.com/docs, checked on 12 October 2026). For a plain wallet address that floor is small, but a payout below it to an address that does not yet exist cannot create the account.

What is the minimum?

It is shown under the amount field and follows the SUI and SOL prices.

Can I send SUI from an exchange?

Yes. Withdraw to the deposit address on the Sui network; the exchange deducts its fee, so withdraw slightly more than the figure on this page.

What if the swap cannot be completed?

Write to support with the swap ID from the status page. The form has no refund address: a swap that cannot be completed is handled by hand, and a return to the address you sent from is arranged under the partner's rules, less the network fee.
