# Terms of use

The terms under which Sablebolt arranges a swap between two addresses you provide: the rate, your responsibilities, failed swaps and liability.

Last updated: 2026-10-28

## 1What the service is

In plain words

Sablebolt arranges a swap between two addresses you provide. It does not hold balances and has no accounts.

Sablebolt ("the service", "we") is a website and an API that arrange an exchange of one cryptoasset for another between two addresses you name: the address you send from and the address that receives the result. The exchange itself is carried out by a liquidity partner that provides the deposit address, the rate and the payout.

The service keeps no balances for you and opens no accounts. Each swap is a single operation with its own id and its own status page. Using the site or the API to create a swap means you accept these terms.

## 2Who can use it

In plain words

Adults who may lawfully use such a service where they live. The partner's own restrictions apply to each swap.

You may use the service if you are at least 18 years old and if using a cryptoasset exchange service is lawful for you where you are. You are responsible for checking that.

The liquidity partner applies its own rules to every swap, including which routes it offers and which deposits it accepts. The service cannot override those rules; a route that the partner has paused is not available in the form.

## 3Rates and fees

In plain words

Rates are floating and set when your deposit confirms. All fees are included in the estimate.

The rate shown in the form is an estimate that follows the market and refreshes while you look at it. The final amount is set at the moment the sending network confirms your deposit, at the rate in force then. It can differ from the estimate.

The estimate already includes our margin and the cost of liquidity. The payout network fee is shown separately and is subtracted from the amount you receive before you send. Nothing is added on top of "You get". The fee your own wallet pays to send the deposit is not part of the swap.

Each route has a minimum and a maximum amount, shown in the form. A deposit outside those limits is handled as described in section 5.

## 4Your responsibilities

In plain words

The addresses, networks, memos and the amount you enter are yours to check. A wrong entry cannot be undone.

You are responsible for the receiving address, its network, any memo or tag the receiver requires, the address you send from, and the amount you send. Blockchain transactions cannot be reversed: a deposit sent to a wrong network, or a payout to a wrong address or without a required memo, is in most cases lost, and the service has no way to recover it.

Send the exact amount shown, in one transaction, from a wallet you control. Keep the link to the status page: it is the only record of the swap on your side, and support will ask for the swap id.

Do not use the service through automated means beyond the published API limits, and do not attempt to interfere with its operation.

## 5Failed or delayed swaps

In plain words

A deposit is processed for the amount that arrived. Outside the limits, or if the swap cannot be completed, write to support with the swap id.

A swap starts after the sending network has confirmed the deposit; the number of confirmations and the usual time are shown on each route page. Network congestion can make this longer. A delay on the network is not a failure of the swap.

If the amount that arrives differs from the amount you entered, the swap is made for the amount that actually arrived, at the rate in force when it confirmed, provided it is within the limits of the route. A deposit below the minimum is not processed automatically: write to support with the swap id, and a return to the address you sent from may be arranged under the partner's rules, less the network fee.

If a swap cannot be completed, there is no automatic refund: write to support with the swap id and the deposit transaction hash, and a return to the address you sent from is arranged under the partner's rules, less the network fee.

## 6Prohibited use

In plain words

No funds of criminal origin, no sanctions evasion, no abuse of the service.

You may not use the service to move funds that come from a crime, to evade sanctions, or to pay for anything unlawful. You may not use it in a way that is designed to circumvent the limits or the checks of the service or of its liquidity partner, nor interfere with its operation or with other users.

A swap that breaks these rules may be stopped by the liquidity partner under its own terms; in that case the next steps are between you and the partner, with the service passing on information where it can.

## 7Liability

In plain words

The service is provided as is. Our liability for a swap is limited to the amount of that swap.

The service is provided as it is, without a promise that it will be available at every moment or that a route will stay open. Rates, fees and arrival times are estimates until the deposit confirms.

The service is not liable for losses caused by a wrong address, network, memo or amount entered by you; by delays or failures of a blockchain network; by a wallet or an exchange that does not credit a payout; or by events outside our control. To the extent permitted by law, our total liability for a swap is limited to the amount of that swap.

## 8Changes to these terms

In plain words

The version in force is the one published here when a swap is created. The date is at the top.

We may change these terms. The current version, with its date, is published on this page; changes apply from publication. The terms that apply to a swap are the ones published when that swap was created.
