# Swap XMR to USDT TRC-20

Swap Monero for USDT on TRON without an account: enter the amount, paste a T… address and send XMR from any Monero wallet.

- **Arrival:** ≈ 11–24 min

- **Confirmations:** 5 on Monero

- **Rate:** Floating

- **Fee token after arrival:** TRX (or rented energy)

## When this route is the right one

You hold XMR and need a dollar-stable balance that almost everyone accepts: an invoice that asks for USDT TRC-20, an exchange or payment service whose deposit page shows a T… address, or a pause between two Monero positions while the price moves.

A Monero wallet cannot send to a T… address, and no TRON wallet can read a Monero payment. The XMR has to be received on one chain and the USDT paid on the other. Here the first leg is a plain Monero transfer from your wallet to a one-time address; the second is a TRC-20 transfer to the address you gave. Monero needs 5 confirmations, so plan for 11–24 minutes.

## XMR vs USDT TRC-20 — side by side

| | XMR on Monero | USDT on TRON TRC-20 |
|---|---|---|
| Address format | 4… or 8… (95 characters) | T… (34 characters) |
| Fee token | XMR | TRX (or rented energy) |
| Confirmations we wait for | 5 | 1 |
| Explorer | monerohash.com | tronscan.org |

## What happens, in order

1. Enter the XMR amount and the TRON address Paste the T… address that should receive the USDT. The form shows the USDT estimate and the current minimum.
2. Send XMR to the deposit address You get a one-time Monero address (4…) with a QR code. Send from any Monero wallet; the wallet adds its own fee in XMR.
3. Monero confirms 5 confirmations at the 2-minute block target — about 11–24 minutes. The USDT amount is fixed when the fifth block lands.
4. USDT is paid out on TRON The status page links the Tronscan transaction that pays your T… address. It is final after 1 TRON confirmation.

## Before you send — checklist

- The receiving address is a TRON address: 34 characters, starting with T.
- If it belongs to an exchange, its deposit page says USDT on TRON (TRC-20) — the same address string is used for TRX deposits, and a page opened for the wrong coin can leave the deposit uncredited.
- The XMR you are about to send is unlocked. Outputs received in the last 10 blocks cannot be spent yet, and the wallet will refuse to build the transaction.
- There is, or will be, a little TRX or energy in the receiving wallet. Holding USDT on TRON costs nothing; moving it again does.
- You saved the status link before you sent. It is the only place the swap is tracked.

## The two mistakes that cost money on this route

### Expecting the estimate to be the payout

Between the moment you press send and the fifth Monero confirmation, 11–24 minutes pass, and the rate is floating. In a quiet market the difference is small; in a fast one the USDT figure on the status page will differ from the estimate you saw. Decide the amount with that window in mind.

### Looking for the deposit on the explorer and seeing nothing useful

A Monero explorer shows that a transaction with your hash exists and in which block — not the amount and not the address. That is normal. The proof that the deposit is yours is in your wallet: the transaction key or a tx proof, which the wallet can produce.

## Other ways to make the same move

| Way | What you need | Where it is slower or dearer |
|---|---|---|
| An exchange that still lists XMR | An account, a Monero deposit (with the exchange's own confirmation count), a sale, a TRC-20 withdrawal | The longest route in minutes; a withdrawal fee; a record of the trade on their side |
| A peer-to-peer trade | Someone who wants XMR and holds USDT TRC-20, plus escrow or trust | A negotiated price and the counterparty's schedule |
| This swap | Two addresses | A floating rate fixed at the fifth Monero confirmation |

## What is visible on-chain

On the Monero side an observer can see that a transaction with the deposit hash was mined and when. The amount, the sender and the receiving address are not shown — the explorer linked from the status page confirms only that the hash exists. The TRON side is open: Tronscan shows a payout address sending USDT to your T… address, with the amount and the time, and anyone with the hash can read it.

## FAQ

How long does it take?

About 11–24 minutes for the 5 Monero confirmations, then the TRON payout, which confirms in a few seconds. The estimate on the form already includes processing time.

Does the deposit address need a payment ID?

No. The deposit address is created for this swap alone, so nothing has to identify you. Leave the payment ID field in your wallet empty.

How do I prove I sent the XMR?

Your wallet keeps the transaction key for every outgoing payment and can generate a proof for a given address. Keep the status link; if a question comes up, the proof and the link together identify the deposit.

Do I need TRX to receive the USDT?

Not to receive. A TRC-20 transfer into your wallet is paid by the sender. You need TRX, or rented energy, only when you move the USDT on.

What does the minimum depend on?

On the Monero network fee and the TRON fee of the payout at that moment; the form shows the current figure under the amount.

What if the swap cannot be completed?

Write to support with the swap ID from the status page. The form has no refund address: a swap that cannot be completed is handled by hand, and a return to the address you sent from is arranged under the partner's rules, less the network fee.
