# Swap USDT TRC-20 to USDT TON

Move USDT from TRON to TON without an account: enter the amount, paste your UQ… or EQ… address and send from any TRON wallet.

- **Arrival:** ≈ 2–5 min

- **Confirmations:** 1 on TRON

- **Rate:** Floating

- **Fee token after arrival:** GRAM

## When this route is the right one

You hold USDT on TRON and want it in a TON wallet — the kind that lives inside Telegram or alongside it. People do this to pay a seller who shows a TON address, to fund an app or bot that settles in USDT on TON, or to keep a dollar balance in the same wallet as their GRAM.

TRON cannot send to a TON address and TON cannot read a TRON transaction. On TON, USDT is a jetton issued by Tether, with its own contract; on TRON it is a TRC-20 token. The route receives your TRC-20 deposit, waits for one TRON confirmation and transfers the jetton to the address you gave. You sign only the TRON side.

## TRON vs TON — what changes and what doesn't

| | USDT on TRON TRC-20 | USDT on TON TON |
|---|---|---|
| Address format | T… (34 characters) | UQ… or EQ… (48 characters) |
| Fee token | TRX (or rented energy) | GRAM |
| Confirmations we wait for | 1 | 20 |
| Explorer | tronscan.org | tonscan.org |
| Issued by | Tether | Tether |
| Contract | TR7NHqjeKQxGTCi8q8ZY4pL8otSzgjLj6t | EQCxE6mUtQJKFnGfaROTKOt1lZbDiiX1kCixRv7Nw2Id_sDs |

Both are Tether's USDT, and Tether lists both contracts — TRON (TRC-20) and TON (jetton) — on its supported-protocols page (checked on 12 October 2026). On TON a token balance is held by a small jetton wallet attached to your address; the wallet app shows it simply as USDT. Fees on TON are paid in GRAM, the network's native coin, which was called Toncoin until June 2026.

## What happens, in order

1. Enter the amount and the TON address Paste the 48-character address from your TON wallet (UQ… or EQ…). If the address belongs to an exchange, enter its memo in the Payment ID field too.
2. Send USDT on TRON The page shows a T… deposit address created for this swap. Any TRON wallet can send to it; the transfer costs energy or a little TRX.
3. TRON confirms 1 confirmation — about 2–5 minutes in all. The amount on TON is fixed then.
4. USDT is paid out on TON The status page links your deposit on Tronscan and the jetton transfer on Tonscan. Your TON wallet lists it as USDT.

## Before you send — checklist

- The receiving address is a TON address you control: 48 characters, starting with UQ or EQ. Both forms point to the same wallet.
- If the address belongs to an exchange, you copied its memo into the Payment ID field. Exchanges on TON share one address among customers and identify yours by the memo.
- The wallet you send from holds enough energy or TRX for a TRC-20 transfer.
- The TON wallet has, or will get, a little GRAM. Receiving the jetton costs you nothing; sending it on costs GRAM.
- You saved the status link.

## The two mistakes that cost money on this route

### Leaving out the exchange memo

A TON exchange deposit is an address plus a memo. The memo is what tells the exchange whose account to credit. The form here has a Payment ID field for it — if the exchange's deposit page shows a memo or comment and you leave the field empty, the USDT reaches the exchange's address but not your account, and recovery depends on that exchange.

### Looking for the USDT in the GRAM balance

On TON, USDT is a jetton — a separate token with its own contract. The wallet shows it in a token list, not as part of the GRAM balance, and some wallets hide tokens with a zero history until the first transfer arrives. Give the wallet a moment to refresh after the payout confirms.

## Other ways to make the same move

| Way | What you need | Where it is slower or dearer |
|---|---|---|
| An exchange account | An account; a TRC-20 deposit, then a withdrawal of USDT on TON with your memo | Two waits and a withdrawal fee; not every exchange offers USDT on TON yet |
| A bridge to TON | A wallet on both chains, TRX for the deposit and GRAM for the claim | A bridge fee, two signatures, and a jetton wallet you create yourself |
| This swap | Two addresses, plus a memo if the receiver is an exchange | A floating rate fixed at the TRON confirmation |

## What is visible on-chain

Tronscan shows your TRC-20 transfer to the deposit address with the amount and the resources used. Tonscan shows a jetton transfer of USDT from a payout address to your address, with the amount and the comment field, which carries the memo only when you entered one. Both are public and permanent.

## FAQ

Is USDT on TON issued by Tether?

Yes. The jetton contract EQCx…sDs is listed on Tether's page of supported protocols (checked on 12 October 2026). It is not a bridged or wrapped copy.

How long does it take?

About 2–5 minutes. TRON confirms the deposit in seconds; the TON transfer confirms in seconds too. The rest is processing.

Do I need a memo?

Only if the receiving address belongs to an exchange or a service that shows one on its deposit page. A wallet you hold the seed for needs no memo. The form calls the field Payment ID.

UQ or EQ — which should I paste?

Either. They are two encodings of the same address; wallets usually show the UQ form. Copy exactly what your wallet shows.

Do I need GRAM to receive USDT on TON?

No. The payout pays its own fee. You need GRAM only to send the USDT on from your wallet.

What if the swap cannot be completed?

Write to support with the swap ID from the status page. The form has no refund address: a swap that cannot be completed is handled by hand, and a return to the address you sent from is arranged under the partner's rules, less the network fee.
