# Swap USDT TRC-20 to SOL

Swap USDT on TRON for SOL without an account: enter the amount, paste your Solana address and send USDT TRC-20 from any wallet.

- **Arrival:** ≈ 2–5 min

- **Confirmations:** 1 on TRON

- **Rate:** Floating

- **Fee token after arrival:** SOL

## When this route is the right one

You hold USDT on TRON and need SOL — to pay Solana fees before you can do anything else there, to buy something priced in SOL, or to fund a new Solana wallet from the stablecoin balance you already have.

TRON and Solana have nothing in common: different address formats, different fee models, no bridge in a wallet. The USDT is received at a T… address here, confirmed once on TRON — about 2–5 minutes with processing — and SOL is sent to the address you gave. Solana then confirms in seconds.

## USDT TRC-20 vs SOL — side by side

| | USDT on TRON TRC-20 | SOL on Solana |
|---|---|---|
| Address format | T… (34 characters) | base58, 32–44 characters |
| Fee token | TRX (or rented energy) | SOL |
| Confirmations we wait for | 1 | 1 |
| Explorer | tronscan.org | solscan.io |

## What happens, in order

1. Enter the USDT amount and your Solana address Paste the base58 address (32–44 characters) of the Solana wallet that should receive SOL. The estimate is in SOL.
2. Send USDT TRC-20 to the deposit address You get a one-time T… address. Send USDT from any TRON wallet; the wallet pays in TRX or energy.
3. TRON confirms 1 confirmation, usually under a minute. The SOL amount is fixed then.
4. SOL is paid out on Solana The status page links the Solscan transaction that credits your wallet.

## Before you send — checklist

- The Solana address is the wallet's main address — the one it shows for receiving SOL — not a token account address copied from a transaction detail page.
- If the address belongs to an exchange, its deposit page says SOL on the Solana network.
- The TRON wallet has TRX or energy for one TRC-20 transfer; the USDT cannot pay its own fee.
- You are sending USDT, not TRX, to the deposit address.
- You saved the status link.

## The two mistakes that cost money on this route

### A token account instead of the wallet address

On Solana each token you hold has its own account address, and explorers show it. Those addresses are also base58 and pass a format check. SOL is paid to a wallet address; a token account is not one. Copy the address from the wallet's receive screen.

### A USDT withdrawal on the wrong TRON-looking network

Only TRON uses T… addresses, so a wrong-network deposit is rare here. The real risk is an exchange withdrawal where the fee is deducted from the amount, leaving less than the figure on this page. Withdraw a little more.

## Other ways to make the same move

| Way | What you need | Where it is slower or dearer |
|---|---|---|
| An exchange account | An account, a TRC-20 deposit, a purchase, a SOL withdrawal | Two waits and a withdrawal fee; a trade on the exchange's record |
| A bridge plus a DEX | Wallets on both chains, TRX on one side, SOL on the other to pay for the swap on arrival | You need SOL to receive SOL this way, which is usually the problem you were solving |
| This swap | Two addresses | A floating rate fixed at the TRON confirmation |

## What is visible on-chain

Tronscan shows your T… address sending USDT to the deposit address, with the amount and the energy or TRX used. Solscan shows a transfer from a payout address to your Solana address with the amount and the slot. Both records are permanent and tied to the addresses you chose; nothing on either chain connects them.

## FAQ

How long does it take?

About 2–5 minutes. TRON confirms in a few seconds and Solana confirms the payout in a few seconds; the rest is processing.

Do I need SOL in the wallet already?

No. The payout is a plain SOL transfer and does not require anything on your side. This is the route to use when the wallet is empty.

What does the TRON transfer cost?

Bandwidth and energy from the wallet's stake, or TRX burned if it has none. The wallet shows the fee before you sign; it is separate from the swap.

Can I send the USDT from an exchange?

Yes, withdrawing on TRON (TRC-20). Set the amount so that what arrives, after the exchange's fee, matches the figure on this page.

What is the minimum?

It is under the amount field and moves with the SOL price and the Solana fee.

What if the swap cannot be completed?

Write to support with the swap ID from the status page. The form has no refund address: a swap that cannot be completed is handled by hand, and a return to the address you sent from is arranged under the partner's rules, less the network fee.
