## When this route is the right one

You hold USDT on TRON and need GRAM — to pay fees on TON, to use an app or a game inside Telegram, to send a tip or a payment to someone with a TON wallet. Gram is what the coin has been called since 15 June 2026; before that date it was Toncoin, ticker TON. The coin, the chain and the addresses did not change, only the name and the ticker (checked on 11 October 2026).

TRON and TON do not connect. The USDT is received at a one-time T… address, confirmed once on TRON — about 2–5 minutes with processing — and GRAM is sent to the TON address you gave. TON confirms the payout in a few seconds.

## What happens, in order

1. Enter the USDT amount and your TON address Paste the 48-character address from your TON wallet, starting with UQ or EQ. The estimate is in GRAM.
2. Send USDT TRC-20 to the deposit address You get a one-time T… address. Send USDT from any TRON wallet; the wallet pays in TRX or energy.
3. TRON confirms 1 confirmation, usually within a minute. The GRAM amount is fixed then.
4. GRAM is paid out on TON The status page links the Tonscan transaction that credits your address.

## Before you send — checklist

- The receiving address is a TON wallet address you control: 48 characters, UQ… (non-bounceable, the form TON's documentation recommends for wallets) or EQ… (bounceable). Both reach the same wallet.
- The address is not an exchange deposit address that requires a memo. This route pays to an address only and carries no memo field, so a deposit that needs one cannot be matched to your account there. Use a wallet you hold the seed for.
- The TRON wallet has TRX or energy for one TRC-20 transfer.
- Your wallet may still label the coin TON or Toncoin. It is the same coin as GRAM; no swap, claim or migration ever existed, and anything offering one is a scam.

## The two mistakes that cost money on this route

### Pasting an exchange address that needs a memo

Exchanges on TON share one deposit address among customers and tell them apart by a memo. This route has no memo field. Without the memo the exchange cannot credit the payout, and recovering it depends on that exchange. Receive into your own TON wallet, then move the GRAM to the exchange with the memo from its deposit page.

### Looking for a token called GRAM to convert to

There is no new token. The native coin of TON was renamed; balances and addresses are unchanged. A site or bot offering to migrate TON to GRAM or to let you claim GRAM is a scam, as TON's own announcement says.

Is GRAM the same coin as Toncoin?

Yes. On 15 June 2026 at 12:00 UTC the native coin of The Open Network was renamed from Toncoin to Gram and the ticker from TON to GRAM, after a community vote that closed on 8 June with 81.22 % in favour. Balances, addresses and contracts stayed as they were. Checked on 11 October 2026.

Do I need a memo?

This route has no memo field, so give an address that does not need one — a wallet you control. Exchange deposit addresses on TON usually require a memo and are not suitable here.

UQ or EQ — which should I paste?

Either. They encode the same wallet; UQ marks the non-bounceable form that TON's documentation recommends for wallets. Copy whichever your wallet shows.

What does the TRON transfer cost me?

Energy or TRX for one TRC-20 transfer; the wallet shows the fee before you sign. It is separate from the swap.

What if the swap cannot be completed?

Write to support with the swap ID from the status page. The form has no refund address: a swap that cannot be completed is handled by hand, and a return to the address you sent from is arranged under the partner's rules, less the network fee.
