# Swap USDC ERC-20 to USDT TRC-20

Swap USDC on Ethereum for USDT on TRON without an account: enter the amount, paste your T… address and send USDC from any Ethereum wallet.

- **Arrival:** ≈ 4–10 min

- **Confirmations:** 15 on Ethereum

- **Rate:** Floating

- **Fee token after arrival:** TRX (or rented energy)

## When this route is the right one

You hold USDC on Ethereum — paid out by a platform, left over from a DeFi position, bought on an exchange that favours USDC — and the next payment has to be USDT on TRON, which is what most invoices and deposit pages outside the United States ask for. Two dollar tokens, two issuers, two networks: one swap.

No single transaction changes the token and the network at once. Your USDC is received at an Ethereum deposit address, confirmed, and USDT is then transferred on TRON to the address you gave. The amounts are close to one to one but not identical: the rate between USDC and USDT floats by a fraction of a cent, and the estimate includes the fees of the payout.

## USDC ERC-20 vs USDT TRC-20 — side by side

| | USDC on Ethereum ERC-20 | USDT on TRON TRC-20 |
|---|---|---|
| Address format | 0x… (42 characters) | T… (34 characters) |
| Fee token | ETH | TRX (or rented energy) |
| Confirmations we wait for | 15 | 1 |
| Explorer | etherscan.io | tronscan.org |

## What happens, in order

1. Enter the USDC amount and the TRON address Paste the T… address (34 characters) that the USDT should go to. The estimate is in USDT and updates with the market.
2. Send USDC on Ethereum The page shows a 0x… deposit address created for this swap alone. Send USDC — the token at 0xA0b8…eB48, which your wallet lists as USDC — from any Ethereum wallet; gas is paid in ETH.
3. Ethereum confirms 15 confirmations, about 4–10 minutes. The USDT amount is fixed at the last of them.
4. USDT is paid out on TRON The status page links the Etherscan hash of your deposit and the Tronscan hash of the payout.

## Before you send — checklist

- The USDT goes to a TRON address: T followed by 33 characters.
- If the address is on an exchange, its deposit page says USDT on TRON (TRC-20) — not USDC, which some exchanges also accept on TRON under a different page.
- The sending wallet holds ETH for one token transfer at the current gas price.
- You are sending USDC on Ethereum, not USDC on Base, Arbitrum or Polygon. Those networks reuse the 0x… format but are different ledgers.
- You saved the status link.

## The two mistakes that cost money on this route

### Sending a different dollar token

Ethereum wallets often hold USDC next to USDT, DAI and bridged tokens with similar names. This route watches the deposit address for USDC issued by Circle. A transfer of another token to that address is not counted and has to be sorted out with support, using the hash.

### Treating the rate as exactly 1:1

USDC and USDT are both dollar tokens, but they trade against each other at a price that moves by small amounts, and the estimate also carries the TRON payout fee. During the 4–10 minutes of Ethereum confirmations that figure can shift slightly. Expect a number close to, not equal to, what you sent.

## Other ways to make the same move

| Way | What you need | Where it is slower or dearer |
|---|---|---|
| An exchange account | An account; a USDC deposit on Ethereum, a trade into USDT, a TRC-20 withdrawal | Sign-up, a trading fee, a withdrawal fee, two waits |
| A DEX on Ethereum, then a bridge | A wallet with ETH for two or three transactions, a bridge that reaches TRON | Gas twice, a swap fee and a bridge fee; the USDT still has to cross to TRON |
| This swap | Two addresses | A floating rate fixed at the 15th Ethereum confirmation |

## What is visible on-chain

Etherscan shows your wallet transferring USDC to the deposit address — the token, the amount, the gas. Tronscan shows a USDT transfer from a payout address to your T… address. Anyone with the hashes can read both. Neither chain records a link between them; only the status page does.

## FAQ

Why is the USDT amount not equal to the USDC amount?

Two reasons: USDC and USDT trade at a floating price against each other, usually within a fraction of a cent of parity, and the estimate includes the fee of the TRON payout. The form shows the exact figure.

How long does it take?

About 4–10 minutes: 15 Ethereum confirmations, then a TRON payout that confirms in seconds.

Which USDC does this route accept?

USDC on Ethereum, issued by Circle, contract 0xA0b86991c6218b36c1d19D4a2e9Eb0cE3606eB48 (checked with Circle on 12 October 2026). USDC on other networks is not the same deposit.

Do I need TRX to receive the USDT?

No. Receiving a TRC-20 transfer costs the recipient nothing. You need TRX or energy to send it on.

Can I send from an exchange?

Yes — withdraw USDC on the Ethereum (ERC-20) network to the deposit address. The exchange deducts its fee, so withdraw a little more than the figure shown.

What if the swap cannot be completed?

Write to support with the swap ID from the status page. The form has no refund address: a swap that cannot be completed is handled by hand, and a return to the address you sent from is arranged under the partner's rules, less the network fee.
