# Swap ETH to USDT TRC-20

Swap Ethereum for USDT on TRON without an account: enter the amount, paste your T… address and send ETH from any wallet.

- **Arrival:** ≈ 4–10 min

- **Confirmations:** 15 on Ethereum

- **Rate:** Floating

- **Fee token after arrival:** TRX (or rented energy)

## When this route is the right one

You hold ETH and need a dollar balance where it is easiest to spend: an invoice in USDT, an exchange deposit page with a T… address, a payment to someone who only uses TRON. Or you want to step out of the ETH price into a stable balance, and TRON's low fees make it the convenient place to park it.

Ethereum cannot send to a T… address. The route receives your ETH at a one-time 0x… address, waits for 15 confirmations — about 4–10 minutes — and transfers USDT on TRON to the address you gave. The USDT amount is fixed at the fifteenth confirmation; until then the estimate follows the ETH price.

## ETH vs USDT TRC-20 — side by side

| | ETH on Ethereum | USDT on TRON TRC-20 |
|---|---|---|
| Address format | 0x… (42 characters) | T… (34 characters) |
| Fee token | ETH | TRX (or rented energy) |
| Confirmations we wait for | 15 | 1 |
| Explorer | etherscan.io | tronscan.org |

## What happens, in order

1. Enter the ETH amount and your TRON address Paste the T… address of the TRON wallet that should receive the USDT. The estimate is in USDT.
2. Send ETH to the deposit address You get a one-time 0x… address on Ethereum. Send ETH — the coin, as a plain transfer — from any wallet; the wallet pays gas on top of the amount.
3. Ethereum confirms 15 confirmations, about 4–10 minutes. The USDT amount is fixed at the last one.
4. USDT is paid out on TRON The status page links your Etherscan deposit and the Tronscan transaction crediting your T… address.

## Before you send — checklist

- The T… address you entered is a 34-character TRON address, copied from the wallet that should receive the USDT.
- If it belongs to an exchange, the deposit page says USDT on TRON (TRC-20), not TRX.
- You are sending ETH on the Ethereum mainnet. ETH on Base, Arbitrum or Optimism is a different balance and does not reach a mainnet deposit address.
- You are sending ETH, not WETH or another token. A token transfer to the deposit address is a different asset and is not counted.
- You saved the status link.

## The two mistakes that cost money on this route

### Sending from a rollup

If your wallet is switched to Base or Arbitrum, the send goes out on that network, to the same 0x… string, and lands on a ledger this swap does not watch. Check that the wallet shows Ethereum Mainnet before you confirm; the gas fee will be quoted in mainnet ETH.

### Sending the whole balance

A plain ETH transfer pays gas from the same balance. If you type the full balance as the amount, the wallet either rejects it or sends less than the figure you entered here. Leave enough ETH for gas, or use the wallet's 'max' option, which subtracts the fee, and enter the resulting figure on this page.

## Other ways to make the same move

| Way | What you need | Where it is slower or dearer |
|---|---|---|
| An exchange account | An account; an ETH deposit with the exchange's confirmation count, a market sell, a TRC-20 withdrawal | Sign-up, a trading fee, a withdrawal fee, two waits |
| A DEX on Ethereum, then a bridge to TRON | ETH for gas on two or three transactions, a bridge that reaches TRON | Gas twice plus a swap fee and a bridge fee |
| This swap | Two addresses | A floating rate fixed at the 15th Ethereum confirmation |

## What is visible on-chain

Etherscan shows a plain ETH transfer from your address to the deposit address with the amount and the gas paid. Tronscan records the USDT arriving at your T… address from a payout address. Both are public and permanent. Neither chain carries any reference to the other.

## FAQ

How long does it take?

Around 4–10 minutes. Ethereum needs 15 confirmations; the TRON payout that follows confirms in seconds.

Why does the estimate change while I wait?

The rate floats until the fifteenth confirmation. The status page shows the final USDT amount the moment it is fixed.

Can I send from an exchange?

Yes — withdraw ETH on the Ethereum network to the deposit address. The exchange deducts its withdrawal fee, so withdraw a little more than the figure shown here.

Can I send from a smart-contract wallet?

If the wallet sends ETH as an ordinary transfer, yes. Payouts go to plain addresses, and the sending address you give must be one you can spend from.

Do I need TRX to receive the USDT?

No. TRX or energy becomes necessary only when you send the USDT onward.

What if the swap cannot be completed?

Write to support with the swap ID from the status page. The form has no refund address: a swap that cannot be completed is handled by hand, and a return to the address you sent from is arranged under the partner's rules, less the network fee.
