# Swap DOGE to USDT TRC-20

Swap Dogecoin for USDT on TRON without an account: enter the amount, paste your T… address and send DOGE from any wallet.

- **Arrival:** ≈ 4–10 min

- **Confirmations:** 3 on Dogecoin

- **Rate:** Floating

- **Fee token after arrival:** TRX (or rented energy)

## When this route is the right one

You hold dogecoin — from a tip, a payment, a mining payout or a position you want to close — and need dollars where they are easy to spend: a T… address on TRON for an invoice, an exchange deposit page that says USDT (TRC-20), or a balance you will move again.

Dogecoin and TRON are unrelated networks. The DOGE goes to a one-time Dogecoin address, is counted after 3 confirmations — blocks target one minute, so plan for 4–10 minutes — and USDT is transferred on TRON to the address you gave.

## DOGE vs USDT TRC-20 — side by side

| | DOGE on Dogecoin | USDT on TRON TRC-20 |
|---|---|---|
| Address format | D… (34 characters) | T… (34 characters) |
| Fee token | DOGE | TRX (or rented energy) |
| Confirmations we wait for | 3 | 1 |
| Explorer | blockchair.com | tronscan.org |

## What happens, in order

1. Enter the DOGE amount and your TRON address Paste the 34-character T… address that should receive USDT. The estimate is in USDT and moves with the DOGE price until the deposit confirms.
2. Send dogecoin to the deposit address You get a one-time Dogecoin address — 34 characters, starting with D. Send the exact amount from any wallet in one transaction.
3. Dogecoin confirms We wait for 3 confirmations, about three minutes of block time. The USDT amount is fixed at the third one.
4. USDT is paid out on TRON The status page links your deposit on Blockchair and the Tronscan transaction that credits your T… address.

## Before you send — checklist

- The receiving address is a TRON address: 34 characters, starting with T.
- If it belongs to an exchange, the deposit page says USDT on TRON (TRC-20).
- You are sending native dogecoin on the Dogecoin network. If an exchange offers DOGE withdrawals on another network as a token, choose Dogecoin.
- The TRON wallet will hold a little TRX, or rent energy, before you move the USDT on.
- You saved the status link.

## The two mistakes that cost money on this route

### Withdrawing DOGE as a token on another chain

Several exchanges let you withdraw dogecoin on more than one network, including tokenised versions on other chains. The deposit address on this page is a Dogecoin address — version byte 30 in Dogecoin Core, which is why it starts with D (checked on 12 October 2026) — and only a Dogecoin-network transfer reaches it.

### Arriving on TRON with no TRX

The USDT is yours and visible on Tronscan, but moving it costs TRX or energy. An empty TRON wallet can receive USDT and cannot send it. Add TRX or rent energy before the next transfer.

## Other ways to make the same move

| Way | What you need | Where it is slower or dearer |
|---|---|---|
| An exchange account | An account, a DOGE deposit with the exchange's confirmation count, a sale, a TRC-20 withdrawal | Two waits and a withdrawal fee |
| A payment app that holds DOGE | An account there and their rules on withdrawing stablecoins | Many apps let you sell DOGE but not withdraw USDT on TRON |
| This swap | Two addresses | A floating rate fixed at the third Dogecoin confirmation |

## What is visible on-chain

Blockchair shows your dogecoin transaction: the inputs you spent, the deposit address, the amount, the fee and the block. Tronscan shows a USDT transfer from a payout address to your T… address with the amount and time. Both records are public; neither chain stores a link to the other.

## FAQ

How long does it take?

About 4–10 minutes. Dogecoin needs 3 confirmations and blocks target 60 seconds; the TRON payout confirms in seconds.

Why does the deposit address start with D?

Dogecoin Core sets the mainnet address version byte to 30, which Base58 encodes as a leading D; the block target of 60 seconds is set in the same file (chainparams.cpp, checked on 12 October 2026). Your own sending address does not have to match; only the deposit address matters.

Can I send from a mining pool payout?

Yes, if the pool pays to an address you give. Pools usually pay on their own schedule, so start the swap when the coins are already in a wallet you control; a deposit that arrives late still counts, but at the rate of the moment it confirms.

What is the minimum?

It is shown under the amount field and follows the DOGE price and the TRON fee.

Do I need TRX to receive USDT?

Not to receive it. You need TRX or energy to send it on; that is your wallet's cost and separate from the swap.

What if the swap cannot be completed?

Write to support with the swap ID from the status page. The form has no refund address: a swap that cannot be completed is handled by hand, and a return to the address you sent from is arranged under the partner's rules, less the network fee.
